Strategic Partnerships: Leadership for EAs
Over the years our roles as EAs have expanded exponentially, and we are now operating as strategic partners. We no longer support the function of the business or the executive. We work in conjunction with the department, the executive, and the organization. We are autonomous. And we are far more visible than we have ever been in the past. EAs are increasingly in a leadership role and need to think and act strategically in all we do.
Being a leader isn’t about having authority or exercising power. Learn how to influence both peers and superiors. Pull back the curtain to see what is required to be a strategic partner and an administrative leader in 2021. In open, honest, and transparent conversations, we will delve into:
- What it means to be a strategic partner and how it is different from an assistant.
- Asking yourself: what attributes do I need to have and what do I need to improve?
- Perform a SWOT analysis on what is working, and what isn’t (and set goals to mark improvements)
- The new power that leaders need to have: The ability to impact, influence, and inspire.
