Many admins feel like they have the courage to speak up at work, except perhaps when they’re talking to executives or others with seemingly more power than them. When they consider rejection, humiliation, or failure as potential outcomes, they may find it difficult to act with courage — opting instead for safety and limited growth. Not anymore. This session gives participants tangible, practical tools on how to leverage personal courage to speak up (regardless of power dynamics) and own their brilliance at work.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Uncover the root of why power dynamics can make conversations difficult
- Identify three key components in the development and activation of courage
- Convert those components into a process that prepares them to evaluate risks from insight, instead of insecurity
- Equip themselves with tools and strategies to courageously speak up — with divergent ideas, feedback, and opinions
